About the club
Sri Lanka’s first Rotaract club, and the third in South Asia.
Chartered on 9 September 1969 by eleven young people, the Rotaract Club of Colombo has served Colombo and communities across Sri Lanka for 57 years under the guidance of our sponsor, the Rotary Club of Colombo.
Our mission is unchanged since the beginning:

- Promote responsible citizenship
- Foster international understanding and peace

Fifty-seven years of shared moments.
Escape to Paradise
Our international flagship: Rotaractors from around the world spend about nine days discovering Sri Lanka with us, combining culture, travel and service. Next edition: March 2027.
Hands-on community projects
From painting schools and care homes to beach clean-ups, members plan and deliver projects themselves, with their own hands.
Installation Night
Each year the incoming board is formally installed before Rotarians, district leaders and guests, marking the start of a new Rotary year.
The RCC Annual Party
Our signature fellowship and fundraising night, bringing members, alumni and friends of the club together.

Highlights so far.
- July 2026
Opening General Meeting
The 2026-27 year began with our first General Meeting and the MA Club Run with members and friends.
- August 2026
Coast for Cause
A coordinated clean-up of Crow Island and Wellawatte beaches with 14 Rotaract and Interact clubs.
- September 2026
Third General Meeting
Hosted at ZillionE, welcoming two prospective members, followed by a fellowship evening.
- 3 October 2026
57th Installation Ceremony
The 2026-27 Board was installed at the Hilton Colombo and new members were inducted.
